From the IGRC Communication Office: This is the latest information on returning to worship from Bishop Frank Beard. This video was produced before President Trump’s briefing that announced that new CDC guidance will classify houses of worship as “essential.” He is calling on governors to open them “right now” and stated he will override them if governors try to stop him.

Bishop Beard wanted to alert you about this news. He does not intend the change the guidelines that have already been given by himself and our conference leadership team to our local churches.

Bishop Dyck and the Northern Illinois Conference are also following the phased in plan already announced.

You may contact the church office for a copy of the process and schedule moving us toward reopening the church building for daily use.

Welcome West Salem Trinity UMC! We are a body of believers who recognize the importance of relationships. First and foremost our relationship with Jesus Christ, but also our relationship with others: believers and non-believers alike. We invite you and your family to be our guest on any Sunday morning for any or all of our activities. We have Sunday school for all ages and our worship style is casual, but most importantly here you can come face to face with the Living God! Can't make it on Sunday?  That is ok, we have lots of other ways you can get involved and worship God!  See the calendar tab for upcoming events.  You can also check us out on Sunday mornings at 10:30 or anytime after as we stream and record our Worship service live on Facebook-just click on the icon below to go to our Facebook page.

We are located in Mt. Vernon, IL at the corner of Broadway and 42nd Streets just east of Interstates 57/64. Our facility is fully accessible. Office hours are 10:00am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday and you can reach us by email (see the Contact Us link below) or by calling 618-242-4755 during office hours. The Church office is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. In addition to the events already listed we host additional Bible study groups, Prayer Walks, a Girl Scout troop, AA meetings, a Women's group, a Men's group and various quilting, sewing, and painting classes.
